- FANIA (Fanny) (1874 – ?) Fanny Shuravsky m. Joseph Weiner in 1906. Their children were Irwin (1891 – ?), Ruth (1905 – ?), Belle (1908 – ?) and Laura (1908 – 1999), . For a while they, and Morris, lived at 3rd and Green Sts., as you can see on the ship manifest with the siblings arrived from Shpola. Then they lived on Carpenter St., in the Cobbs Creek section of Philadelphia. NEXT GENs: Ruth m. ( ? ) Fair, and their daughter is Judy.
- SAMUEL (Sam) (Dec. 25, 1887 – ?) Samuel, the oldest, immigrated at the age of 17, in 1904. In 1908, Sam Shurovsky m. Flora/Dorothy/Dot Goldberg, who was also born in Shpola. Their daughter Leah, b. 1911, was named after Leah Shurovsky a”h, Sam’s murdered mother; their surname was still Shurovsky. In 1907, when Sam applied for naturalization, he and his family lived on N. 6th St., in the Ludlow section of Philadelphia; he gave the surnames Shurovsky and Shore.
- GELDA (Goldie) (1892 – ) Now orphaned, Golde, Rivke (Rose), Wolke (Bill) and Morris (Moses) Surawsky followed to Philadelphia to join their older brother Samuel after the deaths of their parents; they traveled on the S.S. Merion, from Libau, Latvia, to Liverpool, and on to New York. The ship manifest lists the nearest living relatives in Shpola as D. Gurewitz – because they were orphaned. they arrived on Nov. 25, 1908.
- RIVKE (Rose) (1894 – ) Now orphaned, Rivke (Rose) emigrated with her older sister Golde, and younger brothers Wolke (Bill) and Morris (Moses) Surawsky after the deaths of their parents; they immigrated together, traveled on the S.S. Merion, from Libau, Latvia, to Liverpool, and on to New York., arriving on Nov. 25, 1908. She was 14 years old, headed to Philadelphia, where their brother Samuel was already residing. (Aunt) Rose lived in Philadelphia, lived in California, and later married Boris Glinsky, who died in 1966. In her later years, Rose learned French and went off to Paris, France to live. When she returned, she lived in Center City. (See images below of Rose.)
- WOLKE (William/Bill) (1897 – ?) Now orphaned, Wolke (Bill) and Morris (Moses) Surawsky immigrated together with their older sisters after the deaths of their parents; they arrived on Nov. 25, 1908. Wolke (Bill) was 9 years old. They traveled on the S.S. Merion, from Libau, Latvia, to Liverpool, and on to New York, then on to Philadelphia. William m. Dorothy (Dot) nee ?. - MOSHE (Morris) (1902 – ) Now orphaned, Morris (Moses) Surawsky immigrated together with his older siblings Wolke (William), Rivka (Rose), and Gelda (Golda), arriving on Nov. 25, 1908. They were 16, 14, 9, and 6 respectively, and then headed to Philadelphia, where their brother Samuel was already residing. They traveled on the S.S. Merion, from Libau, Latvia, to Liverpool, and on to New York. Morris legally changed his name from Moshe Shurawsky to Morris Shore in 1930. He m. Sarah (nee ?). Their daughter is Judy Mazer. He later m. Kay (?).
- SYLVIA Sylvia immigrated to the United States in 1906. She married Ben Greenblat in 1911, in Philadelphia. NEXT GENs: Phillis and Louise.
- JENNY (Eugenia) Jenny and MISHA POLANSKi (Polen) immigrated directly to Philadelphia, arriving at Pier 53 on May 9, 1921, with their two children Boris (Bernard) and Lea (Libby).
