We believe that after the death of Tova Leah in Lithuania, Tsvi Hirsch remarried.

We believe that ABRAM, the eldest son of Tsvi Hirsch (or Hirsh Tsvi) and his second wife, emigrated to South Africa:

ABRAM arrived in South Africa on Nov. 24, 1928 (to live with his Uncle Yamey).

Abram m. DORIS (nee Norton (Nossick ( 1921-1982). He was naturalized in Pretoria in July 30, 1935.

Their children are:

• HOWARD JULIAN. Howard moved to Great Britain and married Julie.
• SHARON. Sharon moved to Great Britain.

ABRAM died in 1960; DORIS in 1982.

Hillel married Rachel (“Rollo”) (daughter of Aaron and Feige Davidov), in Raseiniai. He first emigrated to South Africa in 1897 and settled in Johannesburg.  He petitioned for naturalization in 1904.  His family, it seems, continued to reside in Raseiniai, as  their daughter Soma was born there in 1907. Later records indicated he made multiple trips between SA and Lithuania. One such subsequent trip was on the Prinzessin arr. 20 June, 1907, departing Hamburg, arriving in Antrwerpen, South Africa.   Soma traveled from Hamburg to Antwerp in August, 1907.  Rachel (“Rahel”) and Soma travelled to South Africa in 1909.

Hillel and Rachel’s children:

• 1.  SOMA (Jayne Dora) (1907-1992) Born in Lithuania.. Jayne m. Jack West. [March 30, 1913 – March 21, 2008)
• 2.  FANNY REBECCA (Fanny) (1910 – RIP) Born in South Africa. Fanny m. Tom Goldstein;  Fanny m. Alfred Aaron Abrahams. 
• 3.  AARON EDWARD (Ted), (b. 1913) Born in South Africa. 2)  Ted ( – March 21, 2008, RIP) m. Zena (nee Zlotnick; Chaim and Anna), 1919 – 1983); after Zena’s death, Teddy m. Tammy. 
• 4.  LEAH (Lilly) (1915 – RIP)  Born in South Africa. Lily. Mike Nomis. Their children: Rochelle (1939 – 1949), Joan (b. 1944), Gillian and Sandra.

Ber, who anglicized his name to Bernard, and Masha (Maraisha) bas Eliahu b. 1871, anglicized her name to Margaret. Together, they emigrated from JUBARKIS, Lithuania, to South Africa but we don’t have any record of Ginda emigrating to SA. Bernard emigrated possibly with Hillel.

• MICHAEL 1908 – 1966 Michael m. DORA FANNY (DEVORAH FANYA bas SHLOMO).  NEXT GENs: Their son is BERNARD. Bernard m. ANNE WENDY (nee Meyerson); they have two children.

• DAVID ( – 1998) David m. YETTA (1911-1994) and NEXT GENs: their children are BERNICE, SYBIL and SELWYN.
